About Us
Our Activities
Life Strides Therapy, Inc. was formed in May of 2007 to meet the needs of providing innovative Occupational, Speech, and Physical therapy to the pediatric residents of North Central Arkansas.
Life Strides Therapy, Inc. was formed in response to the increased need for children with disabilities to receive occupational, speech, and physical therapy outside of the normal setting. Children with disabilities often are overlooked by the general public and Life Strides Therapy, Inc. has taken up the banner for educating the public to this need.
School systems and outpatient facilities in this area are overwhelmed with the demand for services for this population, and many children do not receive the needed services. Children who do receive these services in the school setting often regress during the summer months due to a lack of service or the much needed funds to gain access to an outpatient facility.
We have been researching available grants to expand our services to year round. This will require an indoor space and indoor riding arena that can be climate controlled. Any assistance in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.
501(c)3 Status
Shortly after May 2007, Life Strides Therapy, Inc. began to seek 501(c)3 status to allow the public the opportunity to assist the therapy needs of local children with tax deductible donations. This status was obtained and became effective May 31, 2008.
In the future the company will broaden it’s marketing of the services offered and aggressivly solicit donations from the public. We will continue to operate the summer therapy camps and build facilities to meet the needs of the area. The immediate needs are to fully fund the hippotherapy summer camp, fund research, and develop a free standing therapy clinic in the North Central Arkansas area.
Summer Hippotherapy Camp
Life Strides Therapy, Inc. will continue to operate a hippotherapy camp in the summer of 2010 to provide services while school is not in session. The excitement and interest is bigger every year. We look forward to a fun and successful camp again this year.
